Kangaroo Island (sometimes called KI) is referred to as Australia’s Galapagos because it has several similarities to the Galapagos Islands. The islands distance from the mainland has enabled many of the species to evolve in isolation from the animals on the mainland, even the kangaroos are a species only found on Kangaroo Island.
In addition to it being a wildlife paradise, Kangaroo Island has lots of nature to explore including, massive sand dunes, beautiful beaches and unusual rock formations.
