Singapore is my favorite city to visit. There are so many things about Singapore that I like. The list of things that I like about Singapore are that Singapore is:
• modern
• safe
• clean
• pretty
• good public transportation
• lots of free entertainment
• lots of festivals
• most of all it is just a fun place to visit

Singapore is a multicultural country and celebrates many of the important events from those cultures. It seems like they are always celebrating something. When the official holidays and local festivals are combined it is hard to visit Singapore when something is not being celebrated. In addition to the celebrations, there is lots of live music, light shows, fountain shows and other entertainment.

Singapore is a modern city with year round warm weather and there are many things to see and do that will keep you busy. There are many activities that can be done in the day time but my favorite time in Singapore is at night. I like Singapore the best after the sun goes down and the heat of the day starts to decline. That is when the bright lights of the night time activities starts to shine.

Singapore food has a lot of influence from China, India and Malaysia. Therefore Singapore has many foods that are common to those countries but Singapore has some foods that are very distinctive to Singapore. Singapore food can be expensive but eating at the hawker stalls will make the prices more reasonable. Some of my favorite Singapore foods are:
• Chili Crab
• Curry Laksa
• Fried Carrot Cake
• Oyster Omelette
• Singapore sling (drink)

I have made 2 trips to Singapore for a total of about 6 weeks within the country. I have seen many of the tourist sites and a few places that are unknown to most tourist. The posts about Singapore in this blog will feature many of the interesting sites within Singapore. I hope that you will join me as I reveal all of the wonderful things that Singapore has to offer.
