Misfits of Nature

Most nature sites can be grouped into set categories which I have already identified but some forms of nature are relatively unique and don’t fit into the typical nature categories. These nature sites are the ones that I have grouped into the category of “Misfits of Nature”.

Misfits of nature are places in nature that are unusual but can be extremely interesting and somewhat mysterious. Some nature sites that I have grouped into this category are sink holes, tar pits, meteor craters, polar lights, bioluminescent waves, pink lakes and other unusual nature formations. I am sure that there are other misfits of nature that I am unaware of and I will include those into this category as I discover them.

I hope that you will enjoy my posts on the misfits of nature sites that I have visited and that these sites will inspire you to consider including unusual nature sites in your travel plans.
