Sukhothai is located near the middle of Thailand and was the first capital of Siam. The main attraction in Sukhothai is the historical park which includes ruins from 1238 to 1438 AD. Most of the significant temple ruins are located in the Sukhothai Historical Park. Sukhothai’s location is relatively isolated and does not see as many tourist as other locations. Si Satchanalai Historical Park and Wat Phra That Suthon Mongkhon Khiri can be visited on day trips from Sukhothai.
