The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of the most iconic buildings in the world and it is synonymous with Singapore. Anyone seeing a picture with the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in it will instantly know that they are looking at Singapore.
The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is a 2,561 room hotel and is incorporated with the Marina Bay Sands Mall and Casino with 500 game tables and 1,600 slot machines.
The mall is one of Singapore’s largest luxury shopping malls. The shopping area is approximately 1,000,000 sq. ft. and has over 300 stores and 80 restaurants. One of the malls special features is a canal that runs through the length of the shops, in the same style as the Venetian in Las Vegas with Sampan boats instead of gondolas.
The hotel has 3 towers that are connected at the top with an observation deck. The observation deck is on the 57 level and is famous for its roof top pool. The pool is the world’s highest and largest rooftop pool that stretches 150 meters with a water edge and a breathtaking view of Singapore.
At night the hotel has a free laser light show from the observation deck with the lower portion of the hotel changing color during the show that can only be seen from across the bay. The combination of the laser light show with the color changes on the hotel really makes for a spectacular show.
It is hard to say what is Singapore’s top attraction but the Marina Bay Sands Hotel would be classified as a “must see” when visiting Singapore.
